Mimi’s journey in the hair industry began with a strong foundation in precision haircutting, inspired by her training at Vidal Sassoon. After years of honing her craft in Los Angeles and New York, learning from top mentors at Vidal Sassoon, Arrojo, Wella, Aveda, and Davines, she returned to Atlanta to bring her expertise home.

Her career has spanned roles as an instructor at the Paul Mitchell Academy and an educator for Sebastian and Davines Professional. She also brings her artistry to music festivals, creating “glam” hair and makeup experiences that enhance the guest experience. Rising through the ranks from creative director to entrepreneur, Mimi opened Shear Love in 2011, where she continues to educate, inspire, and advocate for an eco-conscious approach to beauty. With her work featured in The New York Times and over 23 years in the industry, Mimi remains passionate about growing her craft, education, and making a positive impact every day.
